Day in the Life at the Kennel

Hey! It’s me — your pup — checking in with what my days are like when you head out on vacation. Spoiler alert: I’m having a blast… and you can relax knowing I’m in paws-on care at The Dog House!

Morning Routine: Sniffs & Sunshine

My day starts with a potty break in the peaceful 50-acre farm setting, just half a mile off the road where there’s so much to explore (without traffic noise).

After I do my business, I head back inside for breakfast and then it’s time for walks and yard playtime — all included in my stay (no surprise charges). The humans here don’t charge extra for walks, playtime, or even medicine — even if I’m a little high-maintenance.

Supervised Play & Yard Time

The fun doesn’t stop at breakfast. Every day, we get:

  • Time in securely fenced outdoor areas to run, sniff, and play.

  • One-on-one attention from caring staff who live right on the farm.

  • Lots of belly rubs (my personal favorite).

Some days my dog pals and I take turns going outside for longer play sessions once everyone’s been fed — it’s like recess for adults!

Cozy Cuddle Time & Room to Relax

After all that fun, it’s nap time. I have my own indoor room — from cozy 5×5 spaces up to roomy 9×6 suites for bigger breeds like me — all heated in winter and cool in summer.

I can bring my favorite blanket or bed (important for maximum snoozing comfort), and sometimes I crash right after lunch or more yard time.

Peaceful Farm Vibes All Day Long

The Dog House is more than just a kennel — it feels like a home away from home. The setting is quiet and farm-like, chickens strut around the yard, and even a couple of pot-bellied pigs hang out nearby (I say hello when the humans aren’t looking). You’d love the peaceful vibe too!

Why It’s the Best Place to Stay While You Travel

  • All-Inclusive Care: Walks, play, medicine, and attention are included in the nightly rate — no extra fees.

  • Comfortable Rooms: Individual indoor rooms with climate control for cozy naps.

  • Supervised Play: Outdoor fenced areas and plenty of personal attention.

  • Caring Staff: The owner lives on site and my humans say everyone treats me like family.

Spring Break & Travel Season Reminder

With spring break and travel season here, spots fill up quickly (there are only 16 kennels!). So don't forget to book early! That way I get my farm-style getaway locked in, and you can travel knowing I’m safe, loved, and very well-taken care of.
